Funcom, developers behind the popular open-world survival game Conan Exiles revealed their new IP, Dune Awakening. You will be able to playtest their new upcoming MMO survival game by signing up for the beta on the Dune Awakening website.

What to expect from Dune: Awakening

Explore the enormous deserted planet Arrakis. Find forgotten ruins of biological testing stations or savage the remains of crashed space ships. Be sure to build a base to survive the harsh sandstorms that blow over the planet. Maintain your gear to stay alive on this desert planet and avoid the giant sandworm hiding in the sand waiting to devour you.

Harvest and trade your way up on the reputation ladder with the citizens of this planet, but watch out for raiders and other players.

During Gamescom 2022 Dune Awakening had been revealed with a short trailer.

The trailer shows a character talking about how when he gets rid of his fear, he can see what he needs to do next more clearly. but then he starts fighting a giant sandworm with a sandstorm getting closer.

How to join the beta

At the end of the trailer, there was a message that you can apply to get a chance to playtest the game. Simply visit the official Dune game website and sign up for the beta. There was no date given for when the playtest will take place.
