It has been a long wait for the full release, but in a joint effort, publisher Snail Games and developer Angela Game have launched Myth of Empires on Steam on February 21st, 2024. This new release comes with the free Dongzhou Map DLC, which includes a variety of ecosystems, from ice floes and bamboo forests to picturesque isles, sandy shores, and a very large volcano.
After you create your character, you will be thrust into the world with nothing but your will to survive, and from those humble beginnings, you will need to collect resources, craft, learn to hunt, and defend yourself against other players. With your own two hands, you will build your empire from the ground up, starting with a small shack and using their impressive building system consisting of structures made of wood, clay, stone, and metal, along with foundations, walls, pillars, and more. Truly make it come alive with various decorative items, such as different furniture, skins, and lighting fixtures, to make you feel right at home.

You can play with other players and work together to turn a farmhouse into a bustling village, or even into a thriving imperial city, complete with farmland, blacksmiths, and other professions such as dancers and even musicians, playing a variety of classical instruments and soldiers. Why build it, when you can take it? As with all great civilizations, war is sure to come.
Myth of Empires has a complex and challenging battle system with both foot and mounted combat on land, including siege weapons like ballista, catapults, and the feared siege wagons, and opens a level of diversity not very often seen in other games is arial combat. Arial combat sees the addition of gliders, sky lanterns, and even warships, as well as animal-powered rafts to travel rivers and sail warships to siege your enemies from the sea. Creative warlords will have a variety of combat tactics to tackle almost any situation.

One of the key features of the game is the variety of animals that you can tame, breed, and ride for fun or even in combat. Almost every animal in the game can be tamed, and be used to help transport collected resources, or used to fight alongside you in combat. V1.00 animals have new attributes that can be passed on and strengthened in the new breeding system, so keep your eyes open for the best animals you can find.
Official servers of the game will be hosted in Asian, North American, and European regions during early access, with Oceania and South America regions coming in the near future. But besides the official servers, you can play solo, on LAN, or create your own online server or server clusters to be able to play the game however you want.
The game currently only showcases Asian cultural weapons, armor, and buildings, with hints that Persian, Greek, and Egyptian civilizations could be coming to Myth of Empires in the future. They are also adding a robust mod editor to allow the thriving modding community the ability to create mods to enhance further game play and keep things interesting.
