The thing with The Front is that it’s the mix of all other games I have played, 7D2D, The Ark, Rust and so on. I like the building a lot, so many shapes and forms. And the tower defense as a game inside the game is so fun. To build your own labyrinth with different traps and fall pits, it’s just amazing.
However, there are a lot of bugs and glitches. Luckily, the developers have been active with updates, so they listen to the gamers.
The storyline isn’t really there, but I hope in the future it will be a part of the game. It can be a bit too much with all the updates, new things are added so you don’t keep up with the game, some of the things I never use because there is a new update that makes that thing useless, as better things come too fast.
The Front has good foundations for a viral MMO survival game. It borrows from different survival games like ARK Survival, 7 Days to Die, and Rust, and combines them to make the game more interesting and filled with content. For fans of tower defense games, The Front would satisfy that thirst, though more varied defense systems would be appreciated.
The developers are active in listening to suggestions and feedback via Discord and are constantly updating the game, adding new features and fixing bugs. They are also actively disclosing roadmaps for the game via Steam and Discord.
The game is still in its infancy, so bugs are expected. These are being actively fixed.
