During Gamescom 2022, game studio Red Barrels revealed in a new trailer that their upcoming survival horror game The Outlast Trials will be getting a beta very soon.

Story

The game is set in the era of the Cold War. Murkoff Corporation is picking people off the streets to test their new methods of brainwashing. You (and your friends) are now stuck in this facility trying to escape the horrible experiments they are performing on you.

Trailer Breakdown

The Outlast Trials new trailer shows us different locations in the brain-washing facility. There are a few different characters who preform the tests on the players during the game. From electrocution to a classic TV watching scene, there are a lot of different ways Murkoff Corp uses to try and brainwash people. Not all hope is lost as it seems the players can escape and fight back with the use of traps and weapons. It seems like the players get caught multiple times after trying to escape, which is nothing new for the Outlast series. The question is: will the escape be possible in the end?

Beta Information

Towards the end of the new trailer there was a message that there will be a new closed beta test coming on October 28 and will last until November 1st 2022. You can request beta access on The Outlast Trials Steam page.
