After a successful first few months on the market, the vampire survival game V Rising sold over 2.5 million copies. To celebrate this milestone developer Stunlock Studios has revealed an in-depth look at what is to come.
The developers are currently hard at work fixing bugs and balancing the game and if you are hoping for more new content, you are in luck. A massive update is planned for the upcoming year and while they can not give us a lot of details on what will be included or when in 2023, Stunlock Studios gave us some information about what they are working on. This might be part of the big update but might also come later.
Decorating your castle
Relocating your castle might become a feature and would make it a lot easier to move out of your current place since you can just put your existing castle down somewhere else. Being able to move your castle would be a great addition when you move up to more difficult locations and biomes.
New decorations are being worked on, some will be just for decoration, and others you will be able to interact with. Not only will we be able to make the inside of our castle look better but the garden as well with hedges and other outdoor decorations.

A big feature people have been asking for since launch is the ability to expand your castle up into the sky. Adding multiple floors is something they are currently looking into but with the limitations of the engine that is used to develop the game this is rather difficult and it is uncertain if it is at all possible at this moment in time.
The servants will be getting an update as well but the developers did not elaborate on how they are going to expand upon this feature a lot. It was only mentioned that they want to look into perhaps being able to give orders to make them do things like building or crafting.
The world expands
A new biome is in the works that will have fresh and unique experiences. This new location will have new enemies and bosses to hunt down for new abilities and recipes.
Not only will the world of V Rising be expanded but the devs are also looking at the older biomes to see if they can make improvements by adding more points of interest. Fishing will be getting a rework because developers find the current system way too bare-bones.
PvP and PvE
We can expect new weapons and abilities one of which has already been revealed to be a greatsword. A feature they want to try out in the future will be the possibility to augment your gear to make your way of fighting even more unique in combination with your abilities. The way to obtain the modifications is by defeating enemies and getting them as a random drop.
A concept of a new stone elemental was shown which looks like a normal rock until you get close then it will jump into the air trying to crush the player.
What seems to be a new boss monster has been shown as well but not much information was given on this.

While PVP is not getting massive new features besides the new gear and abilities, the devs are looking into the data they have gathered to fix exploits and make it a more enjoyable experience for any competitive player.
Controller support is something they are looking at currently and if they can get this working V Rising would be one step closer to being released on consoles the devs stated.
That is all the new information we got about the future of V Rising. I am really looking forward to the new ways to decorate the castle.
What are you looking forward to the most? Let me know in the comments.
