Villages Get Cozier in the Latest ‘Aska’ Update

Beautify your settlement with new decorations and colors.

When building a town, the looks are almost as important as an efficient layout. In the latest update for Aska, developer Sand Sailor Studio has added many new decorations and features to spruce up not just the outside, but also the indoors. Villagers have been given a small overhaul, making them less prone to getting stuck, and you will be able to customize what they wear depending on their assigned job.

A new sturdy furniture set has been added so you can decorate the Longhouse. This includes a bed to improve the bedroom, a weapons and tools rack for organizing your gear, and a place to store your firewood. They’ve introduced a variety of structures to place in the kitchen, like food storage, a table, and a hearth to cook on. This set wouldn’t be complete without a new wall and doorway design, of course. As for the outside, we got ivy-covered fences of differing heights and an arch. However, these do not count as walls for your village, so they will not protect you from invaders. When placing buildings, it can often leave a dirt spot. You can now right-click the ground with a shovel to turn it back into grass, making it look even cleaner.

The townsfolk have been given some upgrades. They will no longer get stuck in place once the inventory at their workplace fills up, nor will they bring an excess amount of items they won’t be able to use. Previously, if they needed to get rid of these materials, they would just drop them on the ground. While this will already happen less often, if somehow they do possess extra resources, they will bring them back to storage like civilized people. You can now set job colors to more easily see who is doing what. This does require you to have paint so the villagers can dye their clothes.
