CEO and Co-founder of game development studio Fatshark Martin Wahlund has announced that the upcoming shooter Warhammer 40K: Darktide has been delayed. It will release 2 months later on the 30th of November this year, with the Xbox series X and S following that release shortly after.
However, for those who can not wait, you might be in luck. The team will conduct technical tests and launch a beta version of Darktide soon. You can go to official website and sign up for a chance to join the beta test.
Darktide is a more futuristic version of Vermintide, with fewer rat people. Instead, you have to fight zombies this time. You go through linear levels completing objectives either with a group of four people or solo with bots, similarly to Back 4 Blood.

Even though Darktide is made by the same developers and seems similar to the Vermintide series, a significant change is character creation. You can now create your own character and change your appearance, voice, origin, and most importantly, your class which determines your traits and skills. Another change will be the addition of gunplay. With multiple ranged and melee weapons to choose from and combine, it is up to you to find a set of weapons that fit your play style.
Are you looking forward to playing Warhammer 40K: Darktide? Will you be conquering the depths of the hive city on your own or with friends? Let me know in the comments.
