Winter Survival Reveals a Fun Way to Travel Across the Map

Not the safest transport, but what can go wrong?

Winter Survival has released their most recent devlog, outlining one of the newest additions to the game – Trolley.

And what is a trolley, for the uninitiated? A trolley, otherwise known as a handcart, is basically four metal wheels, some wooden planks strapped together, and a metal seesaw arm that you push and pull up and down to make it move.

How it works isn’t that important, but what is important is that you will be able to use it as a sort of fast travel between different parts of the map in Winter Survival.

First, you will have the basic trolley as I described above, but you will also have some upgrades that you can add to your trolley to make your experience even better.

The first being the cow catcher. The cowcatcher will come in three different variants: wood, a wood-metal hybrid, and finally a metal variant. A Cowcatcher is pretty much what its name implies, and that’s a v-shaped protrusion from the front of the trolley that will allow you to not so gently scoop cows, other animals, and obstructions from your path, allowing the rails to remain clear of obstacles.

The next additions you can add on will be the Storage space attachments, which are pretty much just a plain old wooden crate, but they will allow you to carry additional items with you while you travel from different points around the map.

And lastly is the Log Holder upgrade, but I bet you can guess what it does. It will allow you to carry logs from harvest to your base in style.

The visual presence of the trolley accentuates the cold, snow-covered terrain. Besides just looking awesome, they will also be functional, allowing you to clear blockages to different areas of the map to even busting through a cave system.

That’s pretty much all the developers have released to date with this devlog. I am always waiting to see what’s next in store for Winter Survival.

Are you excited to ride the trolley rails? Let me know in the comments below.
