Sons of the Forest Releases as #1 Seller on Steam

A grand launch with over 200k concurrent survivors!

Endnight Games has finally released the long-awaited sequel to their popular survival horror game The Forest. After two years of being delayed, Sons of the Forest has entered early access and peaked with over 200,000 players on release.

What to expect

You were sent to find and rescue a billionaire but while you were flying over the island your helicopter was shot down and now you have to survive in a cannibal-infested place.

The sequel has a four times larger map with plenty of locations to explore both on the surface and underground. There are a lot of weapons both melee like the stun baton and various firearms. Sons of the Forest will cycle through seasons, each coming with its own advantages and disadvantages so make sure you are prepared for anything.

The game has an in-depth building system where you can place logs in any way you want. For people who do not like this new style or enjoy the simple blueprint way of building, you can use those as well.

You will have to build up traps and other defenses around your base to keep the cannibals and mutants away from your base as they can destroy parts or steal your food.

Crafting has been improved with nicer animations and a 3d printer to craft more complex items.

You can recruit different companions over the course of the game. At the start, you will meet Kelvin, a fellow soldier who crash-landed with you. He can help you fight off the enemies, build your house, or go out and collect materials like logs. If you rather want to survive solo you can skip recruiting him or simply shoot him in the head killing him for good.

Sons of the Forest is set to stay in early access for around half a year depending on player feedback.
