Green Hell Introduces New Animals

Choose your friends wisely.

Creepy Jar has released update #20 for their brutal jungle survival game Green Hell. The new update adds multiple new buildable and a dangerous new beast to tame.

The big new feature in this update is the addition of the giant anteater. They are typically found near anthills, and they will use their claws to protect themselves when feeling threatened, like many of the animals this will deal serious damage to the player.

The mechanic for spawning anthills has been changed a slight bit. While they were previously only used for gathering ants or getting annoyed from the injury if you didn’t spot them in time, they will now not only lead you to the anteaters. You can now also destroy anthills, this helps people who like to build in an area, but the hill is in the way. After you destroyed it, a new dirt mount will spawn somewhere nearby, so you can not get rid of these pests forever.

A while back, we got the animal husbandry update that allowed players to breed certain animal species. This time, the developers expand on that feature by adding three new creatures to this list, the armadillos, three-banded armadillos, and the new giant anteaters.

If you want to breed these animals, they need to be fed. Luckily, you can now construct a composter, which will double up as a trash can for your leaves, spoiled, and rotten meat. The fertilizer it produces can be used on plants to make them grow quicker. As a side product, insects flock to it, which can be fed to the armadillos and anteaters in the new feeding trough.

Additionally, players can now keep parrots by luring them to a parrot nest which you can build. While parrots sit in the nest, they will leave feathers and eggs that the player can collect.

What do you think about the new animal added to the game? Let me know in the comments.
