Didn’t think I’d see a game where Once Human had a child with Crysis, but here we are. The question is: will I be able to run it on my PC? I guess it depends on RAM prices, since the game ironically requires 64 GB of it (now changed to 32 GB). I do have to mention, it’s nice seeing a game set other than the usual New York being attacked by monsters.
Cinder City is being developed as a cinematic third person shooter set in a dystopian version of Seoul, blending story-driven action with an open world and cooperative multiplayer gameplay. According to the project’s latest overview, the game takes place in a parallel version of the 21st century, although its timeline differs from real history because of an event that occurred in the 23rd century. That unusual premise creates a setting where cause and effect extend across centuries, shaping a world that has fallen into chaos.
In this alternate reality, once thriving cities have been devastated by mutants and powerful criminal organizations. Humanity’s survival now depends on the Cinder Knights, a group of super soldiers tasked with confronting the threats that have overwhelmed civilization. Players step into the role of Seven, one of these elite soldiers, whose personal journey forms the center of the narrative.

Seven’s search for his missing daughter, Joy, begins in Samseong-dong and gradually reveals the secrets hidden within Mega City Seoul. As the story unfolds, players will encounter a range of characters who contribute to a narrative focused on the hero’s journey. Rather than presenting isolated missions, the game aims to connect personal stakes with the larger struggle facing humanity.
The developers have also outlined three pillars that define the overall experience. The first is cinematic third person shooter gameplay designed to emphasize action and storytelling. The second is a large open world that serves as the backdrop for exploration and combat. The third is large-scale multiplayer PvE content that allows players to work together against computer-controlled enemies.
Cooperative play is intended to be integrated into the experience rather than separated from it. Depending on the situation, multiple players can join forces to overcome challenges, complete PvE activities, and progress through encounters that reward teamwork. While Seven remains the central protagonist, the game is designed to support shared experiences through its multiplayer features.
The development team says it is building an open-world battlefield that will continue expanding and changing as development progresses. Its broader goal is to combine narrative, action, and cooperative gameplay into a connected experience within its alternate vision of Seoul.
Although no additional gameplay systems, release details, or platform information were included, the outline offers a clearer picture of the gamest’s direction, now available on Steam.
