Developers Acme Gamestudio recently released a playable demo for their upcoming souls-like action RPG game Asterigos: Curse of the Stars. Alongside this news, we also got a release date revealed, which is as close as next month.
Story
The game is set in the Rome/Greek-inspired city, Aphes. You explore this cursed place and its surroundings to uncover the reason for this curse. The choices you make during your adventure will impact the city’s destiny. The demo will start you off at the start of the main character Hilda her adventure. Being part of a clan of warriors her dad goes off to battle but since Hilda is still too young she gets told to stay behind. After waiting for a little while Hilda decides she will follow him regardless of what he said and heads out to catch up with the group. On her way, she gets into multiple fights with fantasy enemies and a giant beast right before getting to the city of Aphes where the demo ends.

Combat
In Asterigos: Curse of the Stars you can equip two weapons at once to use in battle.
There is a variety of ranged, magic, and melee gear to choose from. Fight over 60 regular enemies and 22 bosses each with their own unique way of fighting that you will have to learn to take them down. While leveling up you get skill points for both your base stats like strength or health and for a skill tree. The skill tree mainly upgrades combat prowess, stamina consumption, and things of this nature so no new attacks or anything.
With over 100 collectibles to collect, a ton of side quests, and a new game+ Asterigos: Curse of the Stars seems to have a lot of content to uncover.
You can play the demo on Steam now. It covers the tutorial area of the game right now and for the full game, you will have to wait until the 11th of October.
