Atomic Heart’s Final DLC Sets the Stage for Its Sequel and the Cube MMO

Some of the most formidable bosses have arrived.

Atomic Heart’s last expansion has now arrived, bringing the story to a close while setting up something bigger, as revealed by developer Mundfish.

This final chapter follows P 3, the Twin, and their allies as they push deeper into Facility 3826 for a last attempt to stop CHAR les. The journey leads through the Wave Platform and into the secret Crystal Complex, where the story begins to reveal its final answers. Familiar characters return along the way, but the tone is more urgent as the conflict reaches its peak.

Much of the challenge comes from a new group of enemies known as the Polymorphs. Created through CHAR les’ experiments, these creatures can shift into elemental forms using polymer, forcing players to adapt in real time. The DLC also introduces some of the toughest boss encounters in the game, built around the full strength of the facility’s remaining defenses.

To match that difficulty, players gain access to stronger weapons and more flexible abilities. The new CHANCE modules allow polymer Glove powers to be swapped during combat inside the Crystal Complex, giving more control in fast situations. Resource management still plays a key role, especially as fights become more demanding.

The expansions is out now on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC. It is included in the Atomic Pass, Gold Edition, and Ultimate Edition, though it still requires the base game to play.

With Blood on the Crystal now available, Atomic Heart closes the current storyline while leaving clear hints about where the series is heading next in regard to the highly anticipated Atomic Heart 2 and the brand-new The Cube MMO set in the Atomic Heart universe.
