Deadside has released the new 0.90 update, ever so close to a 1.0 release. As with the previous update, which added wolves to the game; this time we got to see a new animal and more buildings.

Roe Deer is one of the major additions that came with this update. These small deer can be found roaming in all the forests and can be hunted for food. It helps a lot, especially when you are unable to find a body of water to go duck hunting or a town to ransack for some food.

Map design is another area of focus, in which we can see new improvements added to the current map. Some of these additions include an industrial building and a towering construction crane in Beregovoy, including a new shop building in the Southern Safe Zone area.

The team has been hard at work creating map extensions in the southwest part of the map, while also improving the current map. Some of the enhancements you will see are new kitchen furniture in buildings, road signs and barriers added to roads to add a more real-life feel, including the addition of popular trees to some settlements.

Weapons have also been seeing some updates to their models, which started with the 0.8.0 update and continues with the addition of a new AR4 model, along with small adjustments and improvements to other models.

Some other small changes are that hit sounds on players are now more distinct. They have added hints to the loading screen, and when you press the ESC button on the main screen, you will be returned to the main menu.

Lastly, the developers are aware of the performance hits we have seen on the servers. This update comes with some small tweaks that we hope will see a bit better performance while they continue to identify, address, and fix issues to continue the stability and performance of the servers.
