Developer Techland has launched a new free update “A Huntress and a Hag” to Dying Light 2: Stay Human. A new faction called the Hunters arrives in the city, tracking down a new banshee variant.

New story and zombies

In this new update, you will meet Shen Xiu, the leader of the new faction known as the Hunters. They were following a zombie called the hag, a faster and more intelligent version of the banshee enemy. They followed it all the way to the city and decided they will need some assistance and that is where you come in.

The hag is immune to sunlight and to the UV light unlike others of its kind. If that was not bad enough it also has the power to turn humans into their followers by releasing some green gas. When inhaling this gas they will turn into a new type of zombie called plaguebearers. You will not see a difference between them and ordinary people unless you use your survival sense. Upon killing any of these zombies they release more green gas and will infect any human nearby.

New weapons and bounties

You will be able to unlock a few new weapons by completing this new quest. The hunter’s crossbow and ballista bow are two new powerful silent ranged weapons. If you are more of a melee type of player the basher is the new weapon for you.

New bounties are unlocked as well, these focus on killing enemies with traps or ranged weapons and not getting hit once.
