October is already one of the scariest months of the year, so it seems only fitting to share a little more information about Edge of Sanity, an upcoming Lovecraftian survival horror game set in the unforgiving lands of Alaska.

The developers have shared with us some of our crew in the game, and as we are the main protagonists. It’s our job to look out for them, so let’s meet them.

First is Frank; he is or was one of our work buddies and the best local guide in the wilderness. He always trusted his gut, and when things started to not feel right, he decided to investigate what happened, and well, let’s just say he has to pay the price for his curiosity.

Then we have Claire. She works for Prism HR and was sent to make sure we have the supplies we need and, of course, get paid, and to ensure us that we believe that Prism will take care of us, even in the harshest and most remote part of the world. Will she be able to boost our camp morale? Or lower it even more?

Up next is Scott; he didn’t come with the resupply group but has been with the group since the beginning. Scott is a scientist, one of the mad varieties. Not concerned with his own well-being or, quite frankly, anyone else’s. Is he insanely brilliant, or just insane? His ramblings can bring uncertainty, muddle the truth, and even spread madness.

And then there is the dog. No one knows where he came from or who he even belongs to, but maybe this flee-infested mutt might be able to find some random items or mission clues and maybe even warn us of approaching monsters.

It’s tough enough to take care of yourself in these hellish conditions, and it’s nigh impossible to take care of and protect everyone; some probably won’t make it. But while they are still around, maybe they can provide information, gather supplies, or even provide some passive bonuses, so decide who works best with your play style. Choose carefully, play smart, and maybe you might be able to save a few of them from… It….
