During the Steam Next Fest in October 2023, there were hundreds of game demos for players to try out, but one game, was definitely the clear winner. Enshrouded was the most played and whitelisted game of all Next Fest, and now it has an early access release date.
Enshrouded is Keen Games’ most recent gaming endeavors since their highly popular Portal Knights, where you and friends could travel through blocky worlds and everything was destructible. Enshrouded continues with that same idea, but, oh, so much more.

You are Flameborn, the last ember of a dying race where much of the world is being besieged by a corrupting fog that chokes all living things and spawns corrupted monsters to terrorize and destroy all that lays in its path.
That is how the demo started introducing you to the mechanics of the game, but the demo was different from many of the demos, as it wasn’t a cut version of the game, and players were provided with 8 hours to play the game.
With the ability to travel anywhere you want, destroy any item, and break it down into usable resources that would allow you to build anywhere you wanted was highly addictive.
Not this year, but close enough 😌

The highly anticipated Enshrouded has finally announced its release date, which is January 24, 2024.

Though Keen Games did announce a release date, they also provided another teaser trailer that showed us things we could do. The best part is, you do not have to play alone, as you and up to 15 friends can play together in this co-op title. So, you have a little while to prepare for the game’s release and maybe even make some friends, if, like me, you don’t have that many to play with.
Enshrouded is coming into Early Access on Steam on the 24th of January, 2024.
If you played the demo, what do you like about it the most? What are you most looking forward to during the EA release? Let me know in the comments below.
