Following the launch of Fargone, a Stalker-inspired survival game, RedDot Games has been busy with a series of updates. Improved combat and warfare mechanics, new areas to explore, enemies, world events, and a new base-building system are just some of the things we get to experience in the game.
One of the anticipated updates is the refreshed Plains area, which now features the new Liberty faction, more unique creatures, and additional loot spots. While traveling through the Plains, you will regularly encounter fights among the Military, Liberty, and Bandits.
To enhance the combat experience, RedDot Games has made significant improvements to NPC combat abilities, making enemies more accurate in targeting, more effective in using cover, and capable of maneuvering and repositioning during fights to gain advantages.

In addition to these combat improvements, the game has introduced two new enemies: the Armored Zombie and the Exploder. The Armored Zombie, equipped with armor that makes it resistant to typical attacks, requires the use of more powerful weapons to defeat. Meanwhile, the Exploder can charge toward the player and trigger a large explosion, causing heavy damage if it gets too close.
To help with these challenges, the game now offers more throwable weapons, such as grenades and Molotovs, which are useful for burning and clearing hordes of undead. Additionally, chem lights provide flexibility to engage in battles in dark areas. At the new NPC at the Sub-O bar, players can upgrade their weapons to their chosen level for a fee.
When it comes to gameplay events, you can take part in a defense event located at various points throughout the Plains biome. By sending out a signal, you can trigger the event, attracting mutants and zombies. Surviving the struggle rewards you with the option to loot an unlocked cache or trade it with Liberty in exchange for reputation. The developers also provide unique quests that, once completed, allow you to obtain the Liberty Heavy armor set, considered one of the best in the game.

For those seeking end-game challenges, RedDot Games has introduced bunkers, designed as tough activities packed with valuable loot. These bunkers come with high rewards but even higher risks. To enter, you must defeat one of the new bosses and loot a key card. Once inside, saving the game is not an option, and dying means losing everything in your inventory.
Another higly-requested update includes a full base-building system, making it much easier to build and manage multiple bases. To start building, you now need to place a base computer, unlike the previous system where you could place items anywhere without restrictions. You can now construct radio towers within your bases for fast travel. The updated map also lets you name your bases and view them, along with other key locations like traders and safe zones. You can scavenge for base-building materials or buy them from new wandering traders who sell these parts.
Fargone has already introduced a lot of exciting content back, and it continues to grow, so it will be interesting to see what’s coming up next.
