Far From Home has released the next major update for their post-apocalyptic survival game, Forever Skies, introducing the next chapter of the story, a brand new under-dust location, a plethora of tools to transform your airship into a floating garden, and various world and story improvements.
The most exciting and anticipated part of the update is the new area we get to explore under the dust. This place is known as the Suburbs and is around four times larger than the previous location. Besides obtaining clues for the cure, this foggy place is also home to some new upgrades to discover, such as the large oxygen bottle for staying on ground level longer, a power-up for the knife turning it into the air cutter, and blueprints for the other half of this update, the gardening. Because this area is bigger, there are multiple landmarks to make exploring easier.
Something many players have been looking forward to is fighting the mantis. However, the developers thought it would be better to remove the combat from this area and save it for later in the story, so their lives will be spared for another update.
It's time to grow weed and fly 😏

Forever Skies has finally released its largest update to date, the Gardening update! It adds a brand new Suburbs location, gardening mechanics, ship modules, improved world and story progression, and a lot more things to explore. pic.twitter.com/JGsnzoTiMl
As mentioned, gardening is the other half of this update. You can now turn your airship into your own plantation by growing any plant in the game. It is time to revisit some of the old greenhouse towers, as the developers added a ton of blueprints to scan. If you want to read about a more detailed list of these new machines, check out my previous article about the airship gardening update.
The developers have also improved the world and story progression, which includes better mission objectives, more lore scenes, new cutscenes, and visual enhancements. If you want to experience all of these improvements, it is recommended to start a fresh playthrough.
