Flow Studio gears up for the full release of their survival RPG, Len’s Island, with new game modes, base defense elements, and cave biomes. Based on player feedback, the developers have focused on features designed to enhance the game’s survival mechanics, adding more risk with higher rewards.
New Hardcore and Permadeath modes make the game more appealing to players who enjoy extreme survival challenges and tough battles. Those who choose Hardcore mode will start the game with reduced health, level up at a slower pace, face enemies that inflict more damage, and experience a more perilous, survival-driven environment.

Permadeath mode presents the ultimate challenge: if your character dies, the game is over, as there are no respawns. Upon death, you must either delete your save file or permanently switch to a different game mode. For players who prefer to tweak the game world to fit their own playstyle, a Custom mode will allow for freely changing any settings at any time during gameplay.
With the latest Len’s Island update, enemies will appear every night throughout the overworld. As you advance through the dungeons, new enemies will spawn, and their numbers will rise in the overworld. The deeper you explore the dungeons, the greater the threat from roaming enemies at night and the more waves of attacks you will encounter during Harvest Moon. However, to avoid the night raids, you can rest in a bed at night.

Len's Island has introduced a new hardcore mode, including the possibility to customize the difficulty to your liking. Base sieges are now more intense, so the new fortification items will surely come in handy.#lensisland @LensIsland pic.twitter.com/zA14lpgKTi
You now have more gear available for defending homes, farms, and resource outposts from enemy attacks during the night and Harvest Moons. Light Stone Wards stop enemy spawns around your home, creating a safe zone. Spiked fences can be set up as barriers around your base and outposts. Newly added Tesla Towers zap nearby foes into oblivion, while the ballista bow provides early-game security for your homestead. You can also build explosives and landmines that detonate when enemies step on them, causing significant damage.
The underground caves have been expanded with new mushroom forest biomes and strongholds featuring tougher enemies and high-tier loot. Flow Studio promises to add more unique areas, mysteries, and rewards to make underground exploration more immersive for players.
Len’s Island will leave Early Access later this year, and with it comes the long-awaited multiplayer mode.
