After years of waiting, Blue Protocol has arrived in the West, bringing players an anime-inspired MMORPG filled with deep customization, class-based combat, vast open world, and community-driven gameplay.

With gameplay similar to Final Fantasy Online or Genshin Impact, the game introduces several improvements and features designed to refine the MMO experience. One of the most important is character creation, offering a wide range of options to craft your ideal anime-style avatar and personalize them even further with unique outfits and accessories.

Once in the world of Magna, players can choose from eight distinct classes, each with its own strengths and combat styles. The Heavy Guardian fills the role of a tank, while the StormBlade focuses on fast, precise DPS attacks. The Lancer, or Wind Knight, specializes in long-range spear combat, among others. Each class uses different weapon types, from spellcasting tools to sword and shield, and even bard-like instruments, giving players plenty of ways to shape their approach to battle.

Exploration plays a big part too. Players can venture across sprawling towns and ancient ruins, fighting off creatures of all sizes and hunting for that hard-earned loot. Capture moments in photo mode, celebrate victories with dances or fireworks, and when you’re ready for the next adventure, mount up and ride across the open fields toward your next challenge.

Outside of combat, the game features all the familiar MMORPG activities such as fishing, gathering resources, crafting, forming parties, and taking on raids. Guilds allow players with shared goals to team up, schedule hunts for tougher enemies, or farm valuable materials together. With all those resources in play, trading between players and guilds also becomes an essential part of the experience.

While the game is free-to-play, for those with a Crunchyroll membership, an exclusive reward tier awaits, featuring special avatar frames, mount skins, and other bonuses.
