Creepy Jar, the development team behind the well-known Green Hell, has shared a deeper look at their upcoming survival title, StarRupture. Brand-new gameplay footage showcases the features players can expect when the game launches in Early Access this autumn.
The trailer highlights the game’s base-building system, which allows players to start with a modest outpost and grow it into a sprawling, automated factory. Intricate drone rail networks connect advanced machines and buildings to offer a dynamic gameplay experience. The footage also teases glimpses of the mysterious alien world, filled with deadly creatures and unpredictable weather conditions. The planet’s secrets and dangers are as vast as its landscapes, which shift under the ever-watchful and unpredictable Ruptura star.

The game invites players to take on the role of prisoners sent to the Ruptura world to repay their sentences. Whether braving the journey solo or teaming up with friends in 4-player co-op mode, you will have to work for powerful corporations to unlock new objectives, blueprints, and advanced technologies. The trailer offers a sneak peek at missions that push players to venture deeper into uncharted territory, exploring eerie, abandoned bases filled with rare loot and haunting remnants of the past.
Combat also takes center stage, as players defend their bases from swarms of alien creatures. The development team has been fine-tuning gunplay mechanics, ensuring weapons feel responsive, powerful, and satisfying in action. From aiming precision to shooting feedback, every detail has been upgraded to enhance the combat experience.
While the mechanics shown are still a work in progress, the game is shaping up to be an adventure filled with exploration, strategic teamwork, and lots of combat. With StarRupture set to release this autumn on Steam, I hope we can expect a playtest in the coming months.
