It’s been six months since the successful release of V Rising, and Stunlock Studios has revealed new details about the upcoming 1.1 update, which will introduce a new biome, PvP features, and crafting mechanics.
The world of V Rising will expand by adding a new region located north of Silverlight Hills. This biome will introduce unique enemies that you have never encountered before. Among the challenges in the new area are several formidable bosses, including the powerful Shardbearer. According to the developers, the battle against the Shardbearer will be particularly tough, with high stakes. Defeating this boss will not only reward you with powerful shards but also unlock a legendary crafting recipe.

Taking on bosses in V Rising can be tough, especially as they get progressively stronger. But winning a hard fight can feel disappointing if the loot you get isn’t useful for advancing further. To make this process more rewarding, Stunlock Studios is adding a new feature called the Fusion Forge. This crafting bench will allow you to take the best parts of different items and combine them into better weapons or spells.
The 1.1 update will introduce two PvP mechanics within V Rising: Dueling and Arena. Dueling allows you to engage in a one-on-one fight against another player anywhere in the world, except in areas with important NPCs, like boss areas. The duel ends when one player’s health hits zero, and both players’ health goes back to how it was before the fight started. If other players attack during the duel, their damage will count, affecting the outcome.
You will also be allowed to arrange PvP Arena fights by building an Arena Station inside your castle. Flags are used to assign teams, and players can set up the rules for the fight on the Arena Board. Once the battle begins, they fight until only one team remains. Players who drop to 0 HP enter a downed state but can leave the match if they choose. After the fight, everyone’s health resets to its state at the start.
Stunlock Studios will share more information on what we can expect in the 1.1 update as development moves forward.
