The Challenges of Base Management in Edge of Sanity

Your camp is not your safe haven.

Edge of Sanity is a 2D Lovecraftian survival horror game set in the unforgiving lands of Alaska during the Cold War, where a disturbing story of insanity unfolds.

You will oversee complex base management while you carefully plan your expeditions to explore the world and gather supplies.

Each expedition starts at The Camp. Though it is a place you might call home, it is not a place you would call safe.

Even though you can find all your resource stations, your most important asset is your storage. Make sure you have the necessary supplies to survive and are able to make at least an axe and a lamp to go exploring. As you plan your expeditions, you must think heavily about what you might bring with you, as if you perish along the way, so too will you lose your belongings forever.

On your expeditions, you might come across other survivors that you can bring back to the camp. Providing food and water is necessary to support your new member and to keep morale high, but you must make sure you can support them, hear their story, and even have them run some loyalty missions.

Edge of Sanity base management

While at camp in between expeditions, unexpected events are sure to unfold. You might find that one of your campmates is missing after they went looking for food.

Each time you return from an expedition, another day passes, which can change the morale of your campmates depending on what resources you may or may not have and can cause an event to occur.

Currently, the game has four acts, each with its own camp locations. The further you progress in the story, the more disturbing your surroundings might become. As your sanity and trauma change, so too will the missions available on the map.
