Miju Games, the developer of Planet Crafter, has released the second massive Insects and Waterfalls update to their planet rebuilding game. Get ready for new biomes, new things to build, and more secrets to find in the world!
As the name suggests the next stage for transforming the planet is here. You can now unlock insects that bring multiple new creatures to the planet. With the added insects, the way you obtain biomass has been altered a bit. There are now three ways to get your biomass up. The first way is by using plants, which is the old way. The 2nd method is insects. You can get this up by placing the new beehives and butterfly domes, etc. The final one is animals that are currently not in the game yet, but shows that we can expect them to roam the planet later in development.
New biomes can be found in Planet Crafter, including giant waterfalls as the name of the update suggests. As well as a new river called the mushroom river and a meteor field. I have no idea how the entire planet is not considered a meteor field with how many meteor showers it gets.
A bunch of new objects to place in the world have been added, such as the previously mentioned beehives and butterfly domes. With the biomass rework, there is also a new screen that shows you the statistics for plants and insects. New farms and incubators have been added alongside what is probably the best feature ever for builders, a fence that you can obtain from the blueprint chips.
There have been a few balance changes as well, such as they lowered the amount of TI needed to reach the tree and insect stage, making them a lot easier to finish. But the first two tree spreaders did get a decrease in the amount of oxygen they produced. As well as the nuclear reactor getting a slight power reduction.
