V Rising has been one of the most exciting survival game releases in recent years, and even after the 1.0 release, developer Stunlock Studios is not only committed to bringing new content but also introducing major improvements to core game mechanics.

According to the game’s lore, The Oakveil Woodlands, a lush and secluded area, is now under threat from an invading force. The Venom Blades, a mysterious faction loyal to their Serpent Queen Megara, have made their way into this untouched wilderness. With their strange rituals and dark magic, they are harvesting venomous sap from the trees, using it for unknown, arcane purposes. As they carve their symbols into the ancient bark, their presence threatens to unravel the natural order of Oakveil.

In V Rising’s upcoming update, Invaders of Oakveil, players will be tasked with exploring this new and dangerous forest biome, filled with new enemies, bosses, and dark magic. The once peaceful woods now hold secrets that could shift the power balance in this vampiric world. For those brave enough, it’s an opportunity to confront the Venom Blades, learn about the mysterious venom sap, and challenge the Serpent Queen herself.

The update also introduces a few new features to the game. Players will be able to design their own Castle Arena, allowing for custom battles with friends or other players. Additionally, three new weapons, known as The Claws, Twinblades, and Throwing Daggers, will bring new combat strategies to the table. Along with these weapons come seven new spells, adding even more variety to the magical abilities at players’ disposal.

A significant overhaul to the game’s combat system is also included. Stat reworks, rebalanced gear, and a complete overhaul of blood types promise a deeper and more customizable experience. The update also allows players to fuse weapons and jewels, while offering more control over their gear and eliminating the need for pure luck when looking for the perfect equipment.

The Invaders of Oakveil update will be released on April 28, 2025, and we can expect a new gameplay trailer to drop within the next two weeks.
