What’s New in Nightingale Since the Early Access Release

Could this be the time to revisit the game?

Since the launch of Nightingale in February 2024, the developers, Inflexion Games, have made a series of updates, introducing new features and improvements to the game. These additions include offline mode, weapons, enemies and combat skills, crafting, travel, and outfits.

Nightingale was originally released as an online-only PVE open-world survival crafting game. With the latest update, Inflexion Games introduced an offline mode. Players can also transfer their online character’s progress to an offline game.

New enemies, such as the shield-carrying brute Bound Aegis, sniper Bound Marksman, and cannon-wielding Bound Breaker, can be encountered in dangerous Fae realms. You will need different combat strategies to defeat them, as each type of foe possesses unique skills. Combat abilities can be enhanced through new tools such as the sickle-like boomerang, parrying hunting knife, and hammer with a flurry attack, increasing your chances of survival. Additionally, throwing knives and grenades for ranged attacks have been added to the arsenal of weapons.

Crafting and building can now be done directly from storages without having resources in your inventory. You no longer have to search through chests looking for required materials and moving them around manually. Building and crafting materials can now be retrieved automatically from storages, saving time and making the process less tedious. Furthermore, a new storage box called the Pepys Box has been added to the game. You can put items in it and transfer them between boxes, even if they are located in different realms.

A new feature, “Zephyr Anchor Points,” allows you to craft and place points within a realm, enabling you to teleport between them with no load time. Anchor points can significantly reduce your travel time around the map, especially after respawning. Climbing picks can now be used as grappling hooks, helping you scale walls, mountains, and explore the surroundings. Be sure to pick the right one, as the distance you can grapple depends on the tier of the pick.

More character and outfit options have been offered to players. As you progress in the game, you can obtain outfit crafting recipes, tied to your character’s level, from traders. You should look for Essence traders to purchase unique attire.

New NPC characters—Edgar Allan Poe, Taliesin the Bard, and Joan of Arc—have been incorporated into the game, offering unique tests and rewards upon completion.

Inflexion Games show no signs of slowing down and are planning to release new updates in the upcoming months. Players can expect more bosses, creatures, and weapons, new building components, and much more.
