Wizard with a Gun Reveals New Details About World Exploration

Prepare to enter the Shatter lands.

With the upcoming launch, the team over at Galvanic Games has released their most recent Gunmancers Diary, where they explore a little bit about the Shatter, which is what they are calling the wizarding world after it has been torn apart in some sort of magical calamity, leaving patches of the world to explore as you attempt to survive and craft your way to success.

If you haven’t had a chance to play the demo, and I highly encourage you to do so, you will know that Wizard with a Gun is a sandbox survival game with a heavy emphasis on crafting, as every plant, creature, or item you destroy or disassemble becomes a resource that you can then use to craft new guns, ammo, clothing, potions, and even crafting benches and building pieces to explore and rebuild the shatter.

The first place you get to explore is The Tower, an area that is outside of time, which is where you start and is what will become your base from which all your adventures will begin. Inside the tower, you will also find The Wheel, an ancient artifact that will allow you to roll back time and open a portal to a randomly generated part of the shatter for you to explore because you are on a timer before that section of the shatter is gone forever.

But while you’re out and about in the shatter, keep your eyes out for some friendly faces. The two that are known so far are Young Joshua, who is a Gunsmithy who will make you guns for your expeditions, and Grandma Bogfen, who is a master potion crafter and will happily offer you some of her concoctions. But there are many more to find.

So, what are those areas of the Shatter for you to explore? First stop is the Imperium, the remnants of the Wizard empire, You have The Fell, which is an Arcane Fugal Farmland. The Barren Sea, is the Mage Hunters Desert, and the frozen waste, as its name implies, are cold—damn cold. And finally the End of the World, which is falling apart.

I can’t wait till the 17th, when I can jump back into the action and take on the shatter one portal at a time. So let me know if you’re excited for the pending release in the comments below.
