Nightingale Introduces More Wild Creatures and the Fishing System

The Faewilds got more abundant with new wildlife.

As you might have noticed, with the Christmas tree going up and the temperatures coming down, winter is upon us, and soon so will the end of the year. But before the holiday time comes, Inflexion Games has shared with us some of the new creatures and the fishing system that will arrive with Nightingale’s release early next year.

The first of the two new critters for us to meet is the Eoten Sapling. You have seen the huge, scary-looking twig monsters roaming about, but they didn’t always look so intimidating. When they were young saplings, they looked very cute and huggable. As you can see in the image below, they do come in three different varieties, each with their own level of cuteness.

There is also a new change that happened to grown-up Eoten. You may have noticed its shaky, sometimes spastic movements, but now those movements come with a new gift from this creature. If you watch it closely while it is shambling around, it will occasionally plop out a bundle of sticks from its backside, and now you know where all those random twigs come from.

The second new creature to meet in the faewilds is the marvelous and majestic four-legged animal that looks like a caterpillar and an antelope had a head-on collision. Little is known about this creature, but we do know its name: it is a Catepelose, so I would be a little wary to pet this thing if you happen to look like a leaf.

We have seen the new creatures that have been added, but there is one creature that has had a bit of a name change, and that creature would be the Brippo. It had a bit of an identity crisis and was got a new name, which is Galumph.

Lastly, but certainly not least, is a new game mechanic added to the game, and this addition is one of my favorites in survival games and a reliable way to get some food. Fishing—that’s right! Now you can go to bodies of water, both fresh and salty. Thow in a line and hopefully pull out something delicious to dine on. However, be careful; this is the Faewilds, and we never know what out there is trying to bait you.

Which of these new creatures is your favorite? Let me know in the comments below.
