Procedural generated worlds can make it difficult to tell a coherent story and lose small details that improve the atmosphere of a location. Inflexion Games decided to take the route of having both handcrafted realms and randomly generated ones, and they announced that a brand-new story campaign will be coming in next month’s 0.5 update for Nightingale.
Upon making a new world, you gain access to a new structure named the crossways. These act similar to the portals you may be already familiar with, but only activate when you have a special realm card. Throughout the story, you gain access to these cards, slotting them into the new structure grants you access to smaller handcrafted realms, designed to further the story. Your goal during the Realms Rebuild campaign is to uncover ancient secrets and reclaim lost wonders. While the main purpose of these locations is to advance the plot of Nightingale, there are points of interest to explore. Here you can find new crafting recipes and tools like the bow. More information about this new weapon and building recipes can be found in our previous article.

There are also some big news about the sites of power. These large towers test your might with a gauntlet of tough enemies and a boss at the very bottom. Clearing them rewards you with new realm cards. These locations are going to be reworked to feel more distinct from one another, and each tower will finally get its own unique boss.
The Realms Rebuilt has been given a release date and will be available on September 12th. The good news is that you can already watch the trailer for the upcoming update.
