The first big Planet Crafter content update has just been released. The Caves and Crater comes with three new biomes, new resource caves, secrets, and more.

The first new biome is Arches. We got a sneak peek a little while ago already, but now we know its name and we can explore it.

The Balcony is another new biome. I did not expect that this would ever be a biome name unless we got a Grounded style survival game set in a house.

The third biome is Meteor Crater. A place filled with hot lava and gloomy atmosphere.

In the new caves, we can find late game ores, and Zeolite is finally farmable. This was probably one of the most asked features that fans wanted because before this update Zeolite was in limited quantities. More Osmium caves have been added as well. Pulsar Quartz came as a surprise. You used to craft this item, but as of this update, the developers took out the crafting recipe and made it the new finite resource like Zeolite before this update. You can now also dismantle Pulsar Quartz into pulsar shards.

A few new machines like a teleporter and a lot of quality of life features such as chain crafting are also added. Teleporters are a huge game changer regarding farming ores around the world. Even though the world was not very large yet, it did get a little tedious running back and forth.

Two new rockets, including new meteor events, have been released. New secrets can be found as well, which will add to the story Planet Crafter players are familiar with.

Sadly, the new terraform stages that were announced were not implemented fully in this update. While you can complete them like before, they do not add anything to the world yet.
