A few months ago, Rebellion released their action survival game Atomfall, and the game has received a lot of positive reception. Now, the developers are ready to expand on the world and story, and they are bringing the first DLC to life.

This major expansion adds new enemies, weapons, lore, and a new location. Midsummer Island can be accessed by visiting the docks in Wyndham and talking to Bill Anderson. He asks you to help him find something he lost. If you are willing, he takes you to a dark and creepy island that is covered by an eternal gray sky caused by the Windscale plant. The many abandoned points of interest provide the player with notes that were written over 100 years ago and tell the story of the isle. There are new NPCs to meet and quests to complete. Some of these can even lead you to new ways to escape the quarantine zone. These people exiled themselves and created their own culture after the fall. While this DLC is off in its own location, the developers have tried to make it a seamless experience that does not just tell its own story, but also expands on what already exists.

This horror-inspired place is not just home to friendly people who want to help you reach new endings. There are a few alternate enemy types. For example, there are druids who keep themselves busy with the mysteries of the old ruins. The bandits of this region dress as pirates and will attack the player with a cutlass or a blunderbuss. Upon defeating them, you can take them for yourself. The mutants evolved to fit in with the water as they turned into aquatic creatures, and they will try to sneak up before attacking.
