Lavaboots Studios revealed new information for their upcoming update for the survival pirate game Salt 2. We can expect new ship types, quests, caves, and more.

The brand new quest line will have you speak to a skeleton named Mr. Bones. This story will eventually take you to a new repeatable dungeon known as Davy Jones locker, a dark and atmospheric location. A unique item you will be able to obtain from completing this dungeon is the hook. At the end this location will also feature a final boss fight, what this looks like is still unknown. 

The Marshlands was the big addition of the latest update and will receive new points of interest. Explore and discover caves, ruins, and some new puzzles.

A new large ship will be added with three different color variants and rarities. This new vessel will be bigger than the wave skipper and will have a larger interior to decorate to your heart’s content.  A new pop-up tutorial will be added showing you how to obtain decorations for your ship. More ships will be available in the future but this will most likely be the only one for this update.

If you thought we only got information about the upcoming update then you would be wrong. After the launch of this patch, the developers will look into the most requested feature. The map is going to get additional features such as the ability to mark more information on there.
