Steam Next Fest is back and will run until February 13. The festival invites players to try new survival games demos, and offers many survival game deals.
Here are 7 must try survival game demos.
1. Voidtrain
The player upgrades and drives their own train through different dimensions. Voidtrain focuses more on a linear story than a regular survival game experience. The demo is only around 45 minutes so it gives the first glimpse into the game.
You are exiled from your tribe and sent to an island with other outcasts. Collect resources, complete rituals, and build your own tribe.
3. Drift
While exploring space, you get stranded in an asteroid field. You will have to gather materials to build a new ship to survive. While the game was built with co-op in mind this function was disabled during the demo.
You and others crashland onto a planet. Build your own settlement by recruiting unique NPCs who can give you quests and will help you protect your base.
Survive a brutal and hazardous open world rooted in realism. Your ultimate goal is to find the origin of a mysterious disease called the blight and end it.

6. I Am Future
You are stuck on the roof of an abandoned skyscraper as the city below has been flooded. You will have to fish, farm, craft, survive, and find out what happened to the world.
A classic survival horror game inspired by 90s horror games like Resident Evil. You have to survive a zombie-filled town to uncover how it all started.
Which of these games do you find most interesting? What other game demos do you know? Let me know in the comments.

Voidtrain Steam Demo – Left me wanting MUCH MUCH More! I heard the demo on Epic was more immersive. Looking forward to seeing a lot more of this one.
The Last Plague: Blight – WOW! Wasn’t to sure about a top down style survival game but the immersive crafting in this game can make one’s head spin! I did a live stream with the main goal of making 1 bronze item ….3 hours 20 minutes later I crafted it! It’s not just throwing things together, it’s making 1 item in order to make the next item need to craft the item. It’s not just throwing copper and tin together, it’s putting the right amount or copper and tin to make the item quality GOOD! I am liking this game A LOT!
