Point Blank Games gave us a new trailer for their upcoming action RPG Stray Blade. The trailer tells us more about the leading duo and their journey. The developers have also revealed that beta testing is on its way and how you can apply for it.

Trailer breakdown

The new Stray Blade trailer starts by showing a temple located in the Everforest. The outside is still in peak condition while the inside however has broken walls and plants growing everywhere. From other posts about this area, we know this place serves as a resting place for its old ruler. We get some monologue from the main character about the past.

The next few scenes are the player fighting different creatures and humans in the forest and some caves, which are presumably in the area as this part of the trailer is set in the Everforest. During the fight scenes the character also suddenly sounds female, unlike the monologue which was male. This suggests we get to pick a gender before we start the game. A portal is shown but after the protagonist walks through it, they are knocked down unconscious.

After waking up, there is a small wolf-like creature who calls himself a guide and explains what happened when they were sleeping. He tells that there is a stone in their chest that bounds him to this valley. In order to remove this connection, they will have to seek out someone. And so both of them set out to find this person.

Next, it shows the different locations players will visit. It ranges from snowy mountains, deserts, the forest and a variety of caves. The climate must not be home in this valley with so many different weather conditions.

During the shots of the different biomes, we get to see a few of the bosses we get to face off against. Some with giant blades while others use lightning magic. It ends with a shattered rock with some purple and yellow magic around it.

Stray Blade is stated to come out sometime in 2023. For those who want to play it sooner, you can apply to be part of the beta testers right now.
