As Winter Survival is getting closer to early access, the developers have revealed some fresh information regarding the types of animals we can expect in the game.
The wolf, a formidable challenge that must be overcome, is one of the game’s key opponents. While traversing the wilds, you will occasionally encounter them, and usually not a solitary one, as wolves travel in packs. You will also find them in caves and inside their dens, so be careful if trying to explore them during the day, as the dens will be heavily guarded by the resting pack. But as Wolves are nocturnal, they will often be out in search of prey during the evening, which might offer you the perfect opportunity to explore and collect any resources that might be within. You might also be able to block the den, making the surrounding area a bit safer for a little while.
The next animal is the boar, which is territorial and violent, but also has an extraordinary sense of smell for finding the delicious and frequently sought-after truffles. A pungent-smelling subterranean fungus that resembles a potato with rough skin, give the boar plenty of room so that you may negotiate a bargain. Give him a wide berth, and they may uncover the truffles in the ground.
Finally, but certainly not least, there is the cunning fox. The developer team at Winter Survival is also cunning, hinting to the fox while also withholding most of the information on the sleek, furry beast. It could be possible for us to track the sneaky guy and see if he might lead us to some hidden treasures.

These are the three animals about which they gave us some information, but they also left us with an image of a total of eight distinct species that will likely be present during the early release launch. Bears, bunnies, deer, an owl, and a bird that could be a crow or raven are some of the animals that are shown but not yet described.
I’m confident that locating and hunting each unique species of animal will require unique techniques and knowledge to properly take them on in the habitats where they thrive. And those skills might just allow you to survive in Winter Survival.
